Second division match round-up, day 7
Real Sociedad lead the second division at the end of week seven after a 2-0 victory over Salamanca on Sunday evening. With a line-up virtually made up of home-grown players, Griezmann and Ansotegi scored the goals in a five minute period early in the second half to keep up the Basque side's unbeaten record. Cartagena are level with them on points after beating Cádiz 1-3 later in the evening, Toché opening the scoring on the half hour mark and De Lucas and Víctor adding two more either side of half time before Toedtli's late consolation. Betis are out of the promotion spots though after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Unión. Caffa put the Andalusians ahead before the interval, but Abásolo scored a deserved equaliser for the visitors near the end. (11.10.09)

Armenia 1 - Spain 2
Spain made it nine wins out of nine after beating Armenia on Saturday evening. Fábregas ran on to Xavi's through ball to lift the ball over the keeper and open the scoring with just over half an hour gone. Ten minutes in to the second half Armenia equalised when Arzumanyan got above his markers to head Yedigaryan's free kick past Reina, but Berezovsky brought down Mata as he advanced in to the area soon afterwards, and the Valencia forward scored the winner from the penalty spot.Copa del Rey
The draw took place today for the fourth round of the Spanish cup, involving first division sides for the first time together with the twelve lower ranked sides from the previous round. The six remaining second division B teams were seeded to play clubs competing in European competitions, and the six second division A sides were also seeded to meet first division opposition. Matches will be played over two legs on or around 28th October and 10th November, with the first leg at the ground of the lower ranked side2009/10 Fixtures
